At The Pregnancy Experts we understand that some families wish to have the reassurance of consultant obstetric input into their care. This is particularly important for those who want to have specialist care above what the NHS offers, or those with complex pregnancies.
Our consultant obstetrician Martin Maher is a fetal medicine specialist with many years experience of caring for families with high risk, complex pregnancies.
As a current practising NHS consultant, this gives you the reassurance and a straight forward pathway if access to additional NHS testing or monitoring is required.
Our consultant led package offers families the opportunity to have a full scan schedule in the antenatal period to ensure you have expert care at every step of your pregnancy journey.
What does the package include?
01 - Early pregnancy reassurance
7 - 11 weeks
Between 7 - 11 weeks an early pregnancy reassurance scan will be performed to ensure your pregnancy is developing as expected.
02 - Non-Invasive Prenatal Test
From 10 weeks
From 10 weeks gestation you will meet with our consultant to discuss NIPT testing a. screening option and have this performed. this test will screen for chromosomal conditions in your baby.
03 - Early pregnancy scan
Approx 12 weeks
An assessment of your developing pregnancy will be made and an Estimated Due Date calculated.
04 - Early anatomy scan
16 - 18 weeks
An early assessment of your baby's growth and fetal development.
Also includes determination of your baby's sex if you wish to know.
05 - Fetal anomaly scan
Approx 20 weeks
Detailed assessment of your baby's development, growth, position and function of the placenta.
06 - Growth/Wellbeing scan
24 weeks
Assessment of your baby's growth, including assessment of placental function.
07 - Growth/Wellbeing scan
28 weeks
Assessment of your baby's growth, including assessment of placental function.
Includes 3D/4D imaging of your baby.
08 - Growth/Wellbeing Scan
31 weeks
Assessment of your baby's growth, including assessment of placental function.
Includes 3D/4D imaging of your baby.
09 - Growth/Wellbeing Scan
34 weeks
Assessment of your baby's growth, including assessment of placental function.
Includes 3D/4D imaging of your baby.
10 - Group B Strep screening
34 - 37 weeks
Option of screening for Group B Streptococcus
11 - Growth/Wellbeing Scan
37 weeks
Assessment of your baby's growth, including assessment of placental function.
Includes 3D/4D imaging of your baby if possible.
Discussion about birth choices.
12 - Growth/Wellbeing Scan
40 weeks
Assessment of your baby's growth, including assessment of placental function.
Discussion about birth choices and answer any questions you may have prior to the birth.
